When is enough..enough??

Technology is great in the sense that we are coming into a whole, new line of opportunities and capabilities that we never thought possible however at what point do we make our children responsible for their own work? If as a parent we are always monitoring assignments and listening to their lectures then at what point do they find themselves and learn how to be independent and successful.
On the other hand, I can see some benefits to this as well. In this time, children are learning concepts and skills much earlier and covering material that the generation before them has never even heard of. Being able to listen to some of their lessons may help parents be able to help their children with homework and concepts they are struggling with.
